Chicken with leeks and honey
This recipes was kindly suggested by a customer as a topping for rice. It also makes a lovely succulent filling for pancakes – use our basic pancake batter.
Ingredients
- 25g butter
- 2 garlic cloves, peeled and chopped
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 3 tsp soy sauce
- 1 leek, washed and finely sliced
- 250g chicken breast, sliced into thin strips
- salt and pepper

Step 1
Fry the butter and add the garlic, honey, lemon juice, soy sauce and 1 tablespoon of water.

Let it heat through for a few minutes, then add the leek and chicken and stir the mixture through. Fry until the chicken is done and the leeks cooked (4-5 minutes, depending on the thickness of your chicken strips). Season and serve with rice.
